As Co-Founder and CEO of Link Analytics, Will leads teams of world-class data scientists, statisticians, mathematicians, and consultants, ensuring that Link’s Big Data Analytics solutions drive competitive advantage and lasting organizational change for clients. Will founded Link Analytics on the principle that the Big Data Analytics Revolution has only just begun, and that the productization of analytics is the key to solving high value problems faced by global businesses today.
Will’s career has been dedicated to the application of advanced analytics, solving the most dynamic and complex problems across industries. He has led analytical powerhouse teams at Fortune 500 and small companies alike, and helped engineer integrated analytical solutions across a wide variety of verticals, with a particular emphasis on Communications and Financial Services. Prior to founding Link, Will was President of Advanced Analytics, a division of Aspen Marketing Services, and served as Chief Marketing Officer of AMC Inc, the world’s largest wholesale trade exchange.
Will received his PhD in Decision Sciences from Georgia State University where he specialized in the application of quantitative methods to marketing problems. He received his MBA and MS from Georgia State University and his BS in International Affairs and Economics from Georgia Tech, graduating with Honors. He currently serves on several Boards at Kennesaw State University and is a Marketing Board member of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).
Co-Founder | Chief Analytics Officer
With overall responsibility for the analytical strategy of Link Analytics, things can get complicated fast. Sean’s motto to keeping things manageable and understandable, even when working on the most complex of analytical problems is best summed up by Albert Einstein – “Things should be as simple as possible, but not simpler.”
Prior to founding Link, Sean was Vice President of Advanced Analytics at Aspen Marketing services where he managed the Telecom Analytics Practice and focused on Competitive Intelligence, CDR Data Mining, Social Network Analysis, and Social Influence Analysis with some of the world’s largest Mobile Network Operators. Throughout his career, Sean has a history of building usable analytics solutions – analytically rigorous, but understandable enough for business users to easily adopt them.
A former Division I NCAA basketball player, Sean received his BS in Economics from Fairfield University (CT) and an MS in Statistics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He serves on the University of Tennessee Business Analytics forum, helping to steer the direction of one of the nation’s first business analytics graduate programs.
Executive Vice President, Research and Development
Dr. Chris Groer leads research and development at Link Analytics, focusing on the development of new services and solutions that incorporate applied mathematics, operations research, and high performance computing into the analysis of our customers’ most challenging problems.
Chris comes to Link Analytics after spending nearly 10 years as an applied research mathematician working for the Department of Defense and Oak Ridge National Lab. He has worked in diverse areas such as large scale social network analysis, job scheduling for supercomputers, and vehicle routing, and has been published in leading discrete math and operations research journals, including Networks and the INFORMS Journal on Computing.
After graduating with degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Vanderbilt University, Chris obtained a Masters degree in Number Theory and Combinatorics from The University of Georgia, and completed his PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Maryland, studying large scale routing and scheduling problems.
A former All-American tennis player, Chris also spent three years as a professional tennis player, competing in tournaments throughout the world. He was inducted into the Vanderbilt Hall of Fame in 2010.
Vice President, Analytical Consulting
Darby has over fifteen years of experience in analytics, mainly focused on the implementation of statistical modeling in marketing organizations. Darby has seen the adaptive power of a well-designed solution in the telecom, gaming, software, health care, retail, and real estate industries.
Prior to joining Link Analytics, Darby was supporting Microsoft global subsidiaries in launching analytic applications to fit their unique local scenarios. Darby also was a leader in the implementation of statistical-based targeting in the direct marketing group at REI, an outdoor retailer. Her idea of success is finding scenarios where analytic innovation provides not only an answer to one question, but increases the effectiveness and satisfaction of business leaders through a new level of insight. Darby's focus at Link is working with clients to find opportunities where analytics provides that logical perspective.
Darby graduated from the University of Kentucky with honors in Economics and earned a Masters degree in Economics from Miami University in Ohio.
Vice President of Market Development, North America
As Link Analytics' Vice President of Market Development for North America, Greg Carter champions Link's business expansion efforts for its Competitive Intelligence, Customer Experience, and Network Transformation Solutions for Communication Service Providers and technology companies. Carter is also responsible for the management and growth of the direct and indirect sales organization in North America.
A strategic sales and marketing executive, he spent 15 years in leadership roles at AT&T leading high-performing business development teams and establishing strategic partnerships with some of the world's most influential brands, including Yahoo!, Bank of America, ESPN, and Delta Airlines. Carter most recently comes to Link Analytics from Kantar Media where he closed several multi-million dollar digital intelligence partnerships in the telecom and media industries.
Carter holds a Master's Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Hampton University.
Vice President of Analytics
Shan Muthersbaugh has spent most of his professional life creating big data solutions for Financial Services, Telecom, and Marketing. Shan has experience in Population Forecasting, Social Network Analysis, Web Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Competitive Market Analysis, Applied Statistics and Applied Economics.
He received a BA in Economics from Armstrong Atlantic State University and then went on to get his Master of Science in Applied Statistics from Kennesaw State University. While working on his Master’s degree, Shan worked as a graduate research assistant at the A.L. Burruss Institute of Public Service. It was at this institution that he was able to develop and enact models for estimating unsheltered homeless populations for each county in the State of Georgia. In 2007, he received the Outstanding Project Award from Kennesaw State University’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
After receiving his master’s degree Shan began a career of bringing real world solutions to big data problems. Shan has helped design and implement many complex analytical solutions into the Marketing Arena.
